Mother and Child. Mother Earth. This piece was inspired by the Filipino song, “Sa Ugoy ng Duyan” and depicts a child in the mother’s arms. In a deeper level, this also represents nostalgia for the past, one’s home, motherland or our mother earth.

her embrace, the scent of summer trees
her sweet songs made stars quiver with delight,
a touch of the gentlest breeze, her kiss.
